Davinia uses her story and passion to change the life of girls in developing countries. Thus far, she has collected 2.5 million pennies and have sent over 500 girls to school in Haiti, Cambodia, Nepal, Peru, Afghanistan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Sierre Leone, India and Nigeria. In her work she has collaborated with non-profit Hope & Dreams Initiative and was approved by Johnson and Johnson to use their Caring Crowd platform to help provide pads for Nigerian girls who are missing from classrooms because of their period. In addition, the project aimed to build WASH libraries for schools and its community where students/public are being taught the importance of water & safe sanitation practices. February 2020, she travelled to the Philippines for her Pennies4Girls Project with friends and her husband to help send youths to school via nonprofit Young Focus who are based in Tondo, Manila. She also has her eyes fixated on Jamaica for upcoming Projects. Davinia’s goal is to help end poverty by providing education opportunities to those in poverty and lacking resources.

“We" can create change in our own way using what’s accessible to us and the fact that something resonates with us on a deeper level. I believe we should tap into our inner greatness and get out of the mindset that one need to be rich. You don't need to be rich in your pockets, only to be rich in your heart.

Dreams are free, unfortunately, the tools, resources and opportunities to attain it is expensive. Attending school is just a fraction of how children can become their greatest self. Imagine them getting a quality education; their life become more than a statistic and they become change.

Education transformed my life and is still opening doors so I can make an impact on this world. Before I was able to chase my dreams, there is MY story.

Poverty and violence were no match against my dreams, but I was given opportunity to gain a quality education and that same opportunity I strive to give girls, no matter their geographical location, so they too can become who they want to be.

i am My Mother’s dream!
